I was assigned Dr Lisa Jewell for my breast cancer reconstructive surgery. I feel so lucky. She was INCREDIBLE. She is so professional, a perfectionist, and an all around amazing surgeon. I have already recommended her to one friend who is equally as happy. Dr Jewell’s staff, specifically Alyssa and Claudia were the icing on the cake. I was also shocked and beyond impressed at their timeliness. Dr Jewell is a very busy woman but never kept me waiting for a single appointment. I had three surgeries with Dr Jewell and she was the very best. My breast cancer experience was made almost pleasant because of her!! I beyond grateful!! She is also a lovely person on top of being the best surgeon.
I had such a wonderful experience at South Bay Plastic Surgeons with Dr. Liang. I had a breast augmentation with the silicone implants underneath the muscle, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! This was also my first time having surgery so I had concerns about the procedure itself, and Dr. Liang was so thorough in explaining the process and I felt so assured after my consultation that not only was this the right decision for me but that he was the right surgeon for me. He’s so incredibly knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process from the beginning to end. At my one week post-op visit I felt great, and now I’m 6 weeks post-op and have been cleared to resume all my normal activities. Dr. Liang is a miracle worker and I 100% recommend him for any and all plastic surgery needs!

Dr. Jewell is an absolute gem and a top-notch surgeon who truly cares about her patients, the process and results. I am so very pleased with my surgery and the follow up care that I received. I had a bilateral mastectomy in 2002 and my implants needed replacement and reconstruction. Dr. Jewell is a perfectionist and an artist. My results are quite beautiful and I feel much more confident about how my breasts look. I knew I was in competent hands after our first consultation. She has a friendly, loyal and welcoming staff and a well-managed professional office. She is on time for all appointments which is a rarity in the medical field. I highly recommend their private, surgical center as a much more comfortable option than the hospital for surgery.
I highly recommend this medical spa. The front office staff is amazing and go above and beyond when you need an appointment or a product they don’t have. The nurses and PA’s are also amazing and always listen to what you want and work with you to accomplish whatever it is you want. The esthetician’s are also amazing and I’ve had amazing facials with amazing products. The VIP membership is great and I highly recommend becoming a member!
Dr. Jewell and her Staff are kind consummate professionals who do a phenomenal job addressing both the physical/cosmetic as well as the emotional needs of their patients. For almost 3yrs, Dr. Jewell has been my surgeon for the various procedures surrounding my double mastectomy and reconstruction. Her level of detail and expectations of her own work are unmatched, and I have the amazing results to show for it. I would enthusiastically refer Dr. Jewell and South Bay Plastic Surgeons to anyone needing the exceptional level of skill and care they provide.
I had rhinoplasty and gynecomastia correction surgery performed by Dr. Michael Newman at the same time. He is an absolute miracle worker! Dr. Newman made me feel comfortable with everything and despite having the surgery 2 weeks ago I look and feel great! I feel super lucky to have found and met him. If you're not aware, he is recognized as one of the best when it comes to both these procedures. Gynecomastia sucked, it was embarrassing and physically hurt. The lumps in my chest really started to bother me in 2018 and became so enlarged I would be embarrassed to take off my shirt. I could no longer hug someone comfortably, sleep on my stomach or even hold my dog to my chest. The process of having a mammogram sucked and I was put on Tamoxifen multiple times. When awaiting my mammogram I was asked if I was waiting for my spouse.. When the mammo doc reported, smirking, it wasn't serious and "just" gynecomastia I felt upset and dismissed. Not once, did Dr.Newman or his staff EVER make me feel ashamed. In regards to my nose, I couldn't breathe through one nostril due to an enlarged adenoid and also did not like the shape of my nose. It was large, crooked and felt it did not fit my face well. Dr. Newman and his team took photos with some phenomenal gear that created a 3D rendering and we were able to adjust the shape of my nose. Way too cool! 2 weeks after the surgery my nose and chest are already lookin superb. I was greeted immediately every visit and after my second visit was greeted by name from all staff members. I never waited more than a couple minutes in the lobby and almost every-time, I was guided into my room upon walking in. I pride myself in remembering names, making others feel welcome and special but wow their team is hands down the best. On my 1st week check up, as I'm walking to my room to see Dr. Newman, I'm greeted by 3-4 of the team members with huge smiles saying how great I looked. Boy that felt nice, hit me in the feels. Make sure you've got someone that can help you out at home cause you gonna need it especially that first week. I'd like to recognize Stephanie, Angie, Nadine, Claudia, Rebecca, Alyssa and everyone else in that office who I can't remember right now but will add as I return. Especially Dr. Newman. They are all AWESOME! Also Dr. Patel, my anesthesiologist. She was another amazing Doctor that made me feel calm right before the procedure. I've never reviewed anyone prior to this and only wrote this to speak on how incredible the entire experience was and has been.
