Liposuction Before & After Case 56

This is a 47 year old female who fell on concrete causing a traumatic injury to the left side of her buttock. This resulted in a severe contour deformity.   Several tests were performed including CT scans and MRI’s to assess the underlying problem. It appeared that her injury caused some of the fat cells to die in the damaged area. Additionally, the adjacent area became enlarged creating a crease across her buttock.

 

This patient was forced to live with her deformity for over a year as she searched for a surgeon to help her. Most surgeons were not comfortable treating this type of deformity.   She was finally referred to the expert plastic surgeons at our office for a consultation. Our surgeons informed this patient that treatment for this deformity can be relatively simple. They recommended a combination of liposuction of the enlarged area with fat injection into the flattened area.

 

During this patient’s liposuction and fat injection surgery, 7 ounces of fat were removed from the enlarged area of the buttock. This fat was purified and then injected into the flattened are of the buttock. Additionally, some of the scar tissue was released.   This was all done through an incision measuring less than ½ inch!

 

The patient recovered rapidly and she was delighted with the improvement in her buttock contour after her Long beach liposuction procedure. She was able to wear normal clothes without being self-conscious about her appearance. In fact, our surgeons offered to repeat the procedure again to obtain even more improvement, but the patient was so happy with her result that she didn’t feel the need to have any more surgery.
