Breast Reconstruction Before & After Case 74

This patient is a 60 year old who developed breast cancer in both of her breasts at the same time. She decided to have bilateral mastectomies. Immediately after her skin sparing mastectomy surgery, her breast reconstruction was performed with expanders. A dermal allograft was used to support her expanders allowing the expanders to be filled almost all the way during her surgery.

 

Three months later, she returned to have the expanders removed and replaced with Allergan Natrelle 650ml silicone gel implants. The patient wanted to end up with breasts larger than her original breast size so high profile implants were used. Nipple reconstruction was performed at the same time. Nipple tattooing was then performed several months later in the office. The patient is very happy with her new breast shape and size.
